Dr. Rachel Rong Zeng, L.Ac. New York Licensed Acupuncturist
As a Chinese Acupuncturist Licensed by New York State, I am proud and glad that acupuncture, an ancient Chinese healing therapy tested and proven in effectiveness for over 3000 years, has come to this lucky land of the United States of America to serve the American people.
I started learning acupuncture under my mother’s influence when I was a teenager. My mother inherited a lot of traditional home remedy Chinese medical formulas from her father, who was a very famous Chinese medical doctor in Jianyang, Sichuan, China. From China to the States, after years of experience and having graduated with a Master’s degree from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I am more specialized in treating many conditions including musculoskeletal and neurologic disorders such as migraines, muscle pains, Bell’s palsy, strokes and its sequela, multiple sclerosis, and internal conditions such as respiratory and digestive system conditions. I also have many successful cases treating infertility, gynecological disorders, skin disorders, drug addiction, as well as sucess in weight reduction and acupuncture facial rejuvenation. I usually advice my clients to combine acupuncture treatment with acupressure and herbs, which results in the greatest effect and shortens the healing process.
In 1996, I received the title of Master of Qi Gong in China, Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese healing practice of cultivating the flow of energy throughout the body and exchanging energy with the universe, usually through gentle exercise and meditation. As part of my treatment protocol, I often teach Qi Gong techniques to my patients to help empower them to take part in their own healing process.
I believe that by focusing on the whole person in determining treatment strategies and utilizing the talents of an excellent professional team behind me, I can be effective in helping more people heal from illness, prevent disease and eliminate pain. My professional team includes medical doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors who work with me on a patient case by case basis to accelerate the healing process as needed.
If you are uncertain whether acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine is right for your condition, please call me for a free phone consultation at 212-889-1936.
